I believe in transparency and honesty, because being clear is being kind.

With that, I feel compelled to honor the “feminine rage,” disappointment, grief, and anxiety from the 2024 election results and its potential implications. And, I feel urgency and drive to gain new skills while also sharing my skills with individuals in this country to create positive change and community. This is how I am choosing to use the energy of my emotions.

One of the ways in which I can support others is through communication coaching.

What is communication coaching?

It is a non-clinical service (i.e. this is NOT to "correct" a disorder) that helps individuals improve their communication skills in a variety of contexts, including professional, relationships, personal, and advocacy. Learning tools to support stronger voice projection, improved articulation and fluency, word finding and organization of thoughts, as well as reducing speaking anxiety are among some of skills learned and enhanced through communication coaching.

Historically, minority and marginalized groups–women, trans and non binary folks, LGBTQIA+, black and brown communities, immigrant communities, differently abled folks, learners of English as a second language–experience and report feeling unheard and diminished by white, patriarchal systems. Our words, experiences, and knowledge have been silenced, ignored, dismissed, not respected, and/or misunderstood. Over time, this takes a toll on confidence, resilience, and self image.

How Communication Coaching can help you…

  1. Identify strengths and challenges with communication to simultaneously build confidence while developing stronger communication skills.

  2. Develop a more powerful voice and speaking style.

  3. Create frameworks to communicate effectively in challenging scenarios–conflict, giving negative feedback, advocating for change, etc.

  4. Become more direct and clear, and stop over-explaining (a common trauma response).

  5. Prepare for speaking opportunities–work calls, presentations, interviews, lectures, speeches, etc.

  6. Learn how to respond on the spot from a calm, collected and confident place.

  7. Enhance English language development and pronunciation.

There are many challenges in this world that are out of our control, but developing stronger communication skills is possible, given the right support. Communicating clearly and with confidence can help change your life and change the world. Our words are an extension of ourselves and together we can harness your words to increase your impact and confidence.

Because I believe so strongly in this work, if after your first session you decide this is not the right fit, you won't be charged for that initial session.
